The Grand National Horse Show
The Grand National Horse Show is the most unique horse show in the western United States. It's a great opportunity to show indoors to huge crowds, to share the arena with world champions, and to socialize with exhibitors of a variety of breeds and disciplines.

Versatility Ranch Horse Competition
The purpose of the VERSATILITY RANCH HORSE class is to demonstrate the performance, versatility and conformation of the AMERICAN QUARTER HORSE as a working ranch horse.

REINED COW HORSE DIVISION
    PATTERNS:
  • Open Bridle Qualifying - Pattern # 7
  • Finals - Pattern # 8

  • NonPro Qualifying - Pattern # 2
  • Finals - Pattern # 3
Cow Horse
The qualifying for the $1,000 NonPro Bridle will be judged concurrently with the AQHA Amateur Working Cow Horse class on Thursday, April 12 with the top five NRCHA horses returning for the finals on Thursday night during the Arena Rodeo Performance. The $1,000 Open Bridle will run currently with the AQHA Working Cow Horse class on Friday, April 13 with the top five NRCHA horses returning Friday night during the Arena Rodeo Performance

AMERICAN SADDLEBRED & FRIESIAN DIVISIONS
American Saddlebred
In order to compete, all horses must be registered with the American Saddlebred Horse Association or the Canadian American Saddle Horse Registry. Horses must be entered under their full registered names with registration numbers and under the names of the owner(s) of record with the United States Equestrian Federation. A copy of the registration papers showing proof of ownership, or a copy of the registration papers with a Certificate of Eligibility to Show issued by the USEF must be submitted with entry form at the time of making entry.

All Owners, Trainers, and Riders must be current members of USEF or pay a non-membership fee and a breed discipline fee.

HORSE SHOW SPONSORSHIPS
Be a part of the Grand National by becoming a Horse Show Sponsor. Horse Show Sponsors receive the best arena show tickets, parking and recognition.

Horse Show Sponsorships are available for the Quarter Horse Division scheduled for April 12 and 13. For a low cost of $400.00 you can sponsor a Silver Championship Buckle for a Quarter Horse class of your choice in addition to the following:
  1. Present the award to the class winner in the Cow Palace arena.
  2. Your name or company name will be annouced at presentation and displayed on our sponsorship board in the Main Lobby.
  3. Two Official GNR Sponsor pins
  4. Two tickets to the evening arena rodeo performance on the date of your sponsored class.
  5. VIP Preferred Parking for the date of your presentation.

EQUINE VIRUS REPORT
An alert has been issued by the California Department of Food & Agriculture, Division Of Animal Health concerning equine herpes virus (ehv-1). The source of this virus remains unknown. Because of the serious nature of this disease, although not mandatory, the Cow Palace recommends that you vaccinate your horses prior to coming to the Grand National.
