2014 GRAND NATIONAL LIVESTOCK EXPOSITION PRELIMINARY SHOW INFORMATION

We are excited to announce a change in the name of the show. We are now the Grand National Livestock Exposition, Horse Show and Rodeo. This name better highlights our roots and mission.

**Release of all animals will take place as soon as possible after the conclusion of the show and will be at the discretion of management. Please see department rules for details on requirements on participation in Parade of Champions and Supreme Champion Selections. Any exhibitor that, when requested or required, does not stay for the Parade of Champions and/or Supreme Champion Selections will forfeit all awards and premiums.

OWNERSHIP
The following ownership requirements will be in place for the 2014 Grand National Livestock Exposition junior and open shows:

All Breeding Animals: 30 consecutive days (no later than September 17)

All Classic Animals: 30 consecutive days (no later than September 17). Animals that have been sold through a junior livestock auction at a California fair are not eligible to show in this show.

Market Rabbits: 30 consecutive days (no later than September 17)

MERIT AWARDS
The Merit Award Program is intended to assist junior exhibitors in the purchase, care and feeding of animals (beef, sheep, swine and goats) to be shown in a junior show at the 2014 Grand National Livestock Exposition . Applications will be available in early summer.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Each year, the Uccelli Foundation and Grand National Foundation award a total of seven scholarships to Junior Grand National exhibitors. These scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $2,500.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:
-be a senior in high school or be enrolled in a community college or university.
-have a cumulative GPA of 2.0.
-be planning to pursue a career in agriculture.
-exhibit an animal in a junior show at the 2014 Grand National Livestock Exposition.
-have never been awarded a Grand National Scholarship. Previous winners are not eligible to reapply.
